This page explains which cookies are placed on your device when you visit Burgaz.bg, what they do and how long they stay. The site is operated by SMARTIA OOD (СМАРТИЯ ООД) · Burgas, Bulgaristan (AB).

1. In short: we use no advertising or tracking cookies

Burgaz.bg has no advertising, analytics or cross-site tracking cookies. No advertising network or third-party tracking tool (such as Google Analytics or the Meta pixel) is installed on the site. Reading listings and articles requires no cookies at all: as long as you do not press the language button and do not sign in, no cookie is placed on your device.

All three cookies used are either strictly necessary (technical) or a preference cookie set by your own action; since there is no cookie requiring consent, we do not show a cookie consent window on the site.

2. Cookies used

The session and security cookies are marked HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax: JavaScript in the browser cannot read them, and they are sent only over HTTPS and only to the burgaz.bg domain.

3. Local records that are not cookies

Your appearance preferences are kept not in a cookie but in your browser's local storage (localStorage) and are never sent to the server: theme (light/dark), text size and accent colour. They stay only on your own device; they return to the defaults when you clear your browser data.

4. Cookie-free visitor measurement

To measure how many times pages are viewed and how fast they open, we use the measurement tools of our hosting provider, Vercel. These tools use no cookies, write nothing to your browser, create no persistent identifier or user profile and do not track you across sites; the scripts come from the site's own domain. Your IP address is not stored. Details in the Privacy Policy §5b.

5. Bot protection

The counter limiting abuse on the enquiry form uses no cookies (an IP-keyed, 60-second temporary counter). A bot protection service (such as Cloudflare Turnstile) is not connected on this site; if one is connected, this policy will be updated with the measured, actual values.

6. How do you delete or block cookies?

When you sign out on the site, the session cookie is deleted immediately. In addition, in every browser's settings you can view cookies, delete them individually or in bulk, and block new ones (usually via Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies / Site data).

If you block the strictly necessary cookies, you can continue to read the site, but you cannot sign in (you cannot publish listings or open your profile).
The only effect of deleting the language cookie is that the language is determined again from your browser preference.

7. If this policy changes

If a new cookie is added to the site, the table above is updated and the date at the top of the page changes. If we ever need to add a cookie requiring consent, we will ask for your consent before that cookie is placed.
